Position Overview
SinterMet, LLC is seeking experienced and dependable CNC Machine Operators to join our Roll Shop team. This hands-on role focuses on producing high-precision components while maintaining strict quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role requires attention to detail and the ability to consistently meet tight tolerances. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their craftsmanship and can operate with confidence and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts
- Work to close tolerances while maintaining high quality standards
- Use measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
- Maintain equipment and keep work areas clean and organized
- CNC machining experience required
- Ability to read blueprints and understand geometric tolerances
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and quality standards
- Experience working to tight tolerances
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Experience with G-code programming or MasterCam
- Experience troubleshooting and making process adjustments
- Rotating shifts available (1st/2nd or 1st/3rd)
- Permanent 2nd or 3rd shift opportunities
- Shift differential:
- $0.50/hour for 2nd shift
- $0.75/hour for 3rd shift
